Tour of Wolsfeld Woods Scientific and Natural Area (SNA)
Please join us for this spring tour to learn about this piece of Big Woods preserved as a Scientific and Natural Area (SNA). We will have the opportunity to see many woodland wildflowers in bloom, and learn about the Big Woods plant community.

Tour of Judy’s Neighborhood Retention Pond Restoration
Judy, a Prairie Edge member, has been spearheading the restoration of her neighborhood retention pond coordinating neighbors to help plant and restore the shoreline planting. Please join Judy to learn about the triumphs and challenges she has experienced taking on this project.

Tour of Two Neighborhood Restoration Projects and Ruth’s Residential Garden
Learn about two neighborhood restoration projects funded by Nine Mile Creek Watershed Grants. The first stop on this three site tour is the woodland restoration at All Saints Lutheran Church. Ruth, a Prairie Edge member, will discuss the restoration process to date and provide details on how to apply for watershed grant. We will then tour Ruth’s adjoining residential garden, and end with a tour of a restoration of a city-owned lot in a nearby neighborhood.

Chaska and Carver County Shoreline, Rain Garden, Permeable Pavement, and Tour of Doreen’s Residential Garden

Have you wondered how your landscape could play a role in replenishing ground water and improving water quality? Come see first hand examples of shoreline planting, rain gardens, and permeable pavement. We will end with a tour of Doreen’s residential garden in Chaska.
